ItineraryNovember 30 - Travel to Guatemala City from Houston, Ground transport to Lake Atitlan. Overnight at an exquisite lakeside estate on Lake Atitlan.
December 1 - Breakfast. Boat trip to Santiago, Mass at St. James the Apostle Church, place of martyrdom and where remains of Blessed Stanley Rother are enshrined. Shopping and meal in Santiago. Overnight at Lake Atitlan. December 2 - Breakfast. Rest. Enjoy the beautiful surroundings of the lakeside estate. Optional boat trip to San Juan la Laguna for a Mayan textile workshop and demonstration. |
December 3 - Breakfast. Ground Transport to the ancient Maya ruins, Iximche. Ground Transport to Antigua. Overnight in a luxury villa in Antigua.
December 4 - Breakfast. Optional morning Mass. Tour various colonial ruins, Monasteries and Churches, local food, textiles, culture. Overnight in Antigua. Optional Half day trip to San Juan Obispo, for Mayan chocolate tour and demonstration. December 5 - Breakfast. Optional morning Mass. Tour various colonial ruins, Monasteries and Churches, local food, textiles, culture. Overnight in Antigua. Optional trip to climb Volcan Pacaya (on horseback or foot). December 6 - Morning Mass. Ground Transport to Guatemala City. Fly to Houston from Guatemala City. |
